Boris Kaminsky was a Volkoff Industries operative until Alexei Volkoff was arrested.
After Volkoff's incarceration, Kaminsky begins a search for a key to unlock parts of Volkoff's office to claim the organization. He murders two of Volkoff's lieutenants, leading him to a last one in Volkoff's organization, who tells him that he knows where the key currently is. The lieutenant is spared, but found dead later on by the CIA.
Kaminsky locates Vivian Volkoff while she is out riding. He knows she is Volkoff's daughter, and unbeknownst to her, his chosen successor. Boris holds her at gunpoint and demands the key. In order to defend herself, Vivian pulls out a shotgun hidden on her saddle, and shoots Kaminsky at point blank range.
