Agent Clyde Decker is described as the CIA's toughest and best agent. The CIA sent him to stop Chuck from committing treason by requesting aid from Alexei Volkoff to save Sarah. He first appears in Template:424.

Biography

When Chuck tried to break Volkoff out of prison to get the cure for the Norseman, Decker anticipated his move and had Volkoff transferred before he could get there and revoked all of Chuck's CIA assets, in order to cover up all evidence and witnessed to Agent X.

While on a transport truck carrying Volkoff, Decker revealed to him his true identity as Hartley Winterbottom, before removing the faulty Intersect from Volkoff, restoring him to his former self before Chuck could get to him. Nonetheless, Hartley decides to follow Chuck after recognizing his surname before creating a temporary cure for the Norseman.

Decker later captured Chuck, his mother Mary, Casey and Hartley outside of Westside Medical and brought them to Castle. There, Decker then removed the Intersect from Chuck. He then attempted to convince Casey to tell the Bartowskis that it's over. But Casey could guess that Decker wants them to make a run for it so that he can look like the hero. He then got the jump on Decker and helped his friends escape.

Later, Decker and a team of CIA agents were waiting outside Westside in anticipation of Chuck's return after he acquired the antidote from Vivian Volkoff. Decker felt that he had beaten Chuck when his agents outnumbered Team Bartowski and the CAT Squad. However, Chuck had brought in Spetsnaz troopers, courtesy of Volkoff, forcing Decker to stand down. He then threatened to leak the truth about Agent X and Decker's involvement if he dares to harm his friends and family. Decker told him that he's fired but Chuck says that he's done with the CIA.

The Plan

At the end of the Season 4 finale, Decker revealed that everything that has happened had been part of the plan, and that Chuck was just a pawn. It is unknown if this is true and if it is likely that he will return in season 5 to explain further more. He is the main antagonist of Season Five.

In Template:501, it is revealed that Decker is the main antagonist of the Final Chapter. He foils Team Bartowski's heist of Roger Bale by freezing all the money they were attempting to steal, including the Volkoff assets, leaving them with nothing but the Buy More and Castle. and sounds the alarm. In all probability, he is the head of a group of rogue CIA agents, determined to see Chuck fail.
