Zachary Levi, born Zachary Levi Pugh on 29 September 1980, an actor from the age of six, he played Chuck Bartowski in the NBC series Chuck.
Early life[]
Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Levi grew up all over the country before finally making his permanent home in Ventura, California. He began acting in theater at the early age of six, eventually performing lead roles in such regional productions as Grease, The Outsiders, Oliver, The Wizard of Oz and Big River.
Career[]
Levi first notable appearance was as a supporting role in the FX television movie Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie. He then played Kipp Steadman on the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect appearing in all 81 episodes. Other roles included Imperfect Union, Three, and Weiners. After landing the lead in Chuck in 2007, he also starred in the Disney film Tangled as the voice of Flynn Ryder in 2010. Levi also voiced characters in The Star, Halo: Reach and Fallout: New Vegas. He starred in the feature film Shazam in 2019.
Personal[]
He is an active supporter of the "Operation Smile" charity initiative and the "Active Minds" nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for students.
After the workout regimen he began when playing Shazam, he and partners Markus Trillsch and JR Krcmar, founded the company, FlowSupps dietary supplements.
